Help bring history to life!

The Halifax Citadel Society is a non-profit, charitable organization which works in partnership with Parks Canada to deliver programming and visitor services at the Halifax Citadel and Georges Island National Historic Sites. Our mission is to connect our visitors with what it means to be Canadian, inspiring thoughtful citizenship at home and around the world.

Every year, the Society hires approximately 60 to 80 youth from high schools, community colleges, and universities from Halifax and across Canada to help operate and deliver its programs and services.

The Halifax Citadel Society recognizes the importance of diversity to our mission, and aspires to ensure our workforce reflects the diversity found in Canada’s population today. We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply.

  • Military Interpreter - Piper
  • Military Interpreter - Drummer

Competitions for the following positions are now closed:

  • Military Interpreter - Private
  • Visitor Services Operative
  • Retail Associate
